taṃ nityakāle pratiyatyakāriṇaṃ naiva kṛtyaṃ kṛtyakāle vihanti ||

當念自覺悟,作時勿虛妄,行要修亦安,所造時真實。(1)

vyāyametaiva puruṣo yāvad arthasya niṣpadaḥ |

paśyed asau tathātmārthaṃ yathaivecchet tathā bhavet ||

人當求方便,自致獲財寶,彼自觀亦然,意願即果之。(2)

uttiṣṭhata vyāyamata kurudhvaṃ dvīpaṃ ātmanaḥ |

karmāro rajatasyaiva haradhvaṃ malaṃ ātmanaḥ ||

nirdhāntamalā hy anaṅgaṇā na punar jātijarām upeṣyatha ||

坐臥求方便,發起於精進,如工鍊真金,除其塵垢冥,不為闇所蔽,永離老死患。(16.3)

當速精勤、當求智慧以作自洲,去除雜穢而清澈明淨,永離老死。(18.4)238

智者應逐漸清除自己的垢穢,隨時(剎那剎那)少量少量地(清理),如同銀匠去除銀的雜質。(18.5)239

alajjitavye lajjante lajjitavye tv alajjinaḥ |

abhaye bhayadarśīno bhaye cābhayadarśinaḥ |

mithyādṛṣṭisamādānāt sattvā gacchanti durgatim ||

不羞而反羞,反羞而不羞。不畏而現畏,畏現而不畏,生為入邪見,死定入地獄。(16.4)

不需引以為恥的事反而為此羞愧,應引以為恥的事反而不覺羞愧,執持惡見的人將墮惡趣。(22.11)316

人先為放逸,後止而不犯,是光照世間,如月現雲消。(16.5)

若有人以前放逸,以後不放逸,如月亮離開雲層的遮蔽而照亮世間。(13.6)172

若人為罪惡,修善而能除,世間由樂著,而空念其義。(7)

若有人以前作惡,以後行善來補救,如月亮離開雲層的遮蔽而照亮世間(13.7)173

現世不施害,死而無憂慼,彼見道無畏,眷屬中最勝。(10)

kṛṣṇān dharmān viprahāya śuklān bhāvayata bhikṣavaḥ |

okād anokaṃ āgamyavivekam anubṛṃhayet |

tatra cābhirametāryo hitvā kāmān akiṃcanaḥ ||

除斷濁黑業,惟修白淨行,度愛得清淨,棄捨穢惡行。(16.11)

智者已捨黑法而勤修善法,由在家而出家,獨居於難居之處。(6.12)87

樂於彼處、已捨棄一切貪欲、已清淨自己的心穢的智者一無所有。(6.13)88

śuddhasya hi sadā phalguḥ śuddhasya poṣadhaḥ sadā |

śuddhasya śucikarmaṇaḥ sadā sampadyate vratam ||

kṣetrāṇi tṛṇadoṣāṇi rāgadoṣā tv iyaṃ prajā |

tasmād vigatarāgebhyo dattaṃ bhavati mahāphalam ||

愛欲意為田,婬怒癡為種,故施度世者,得福無有量。 (16.13)

田地被雜草損害,世人被貪欲損害,因此布施給無貪欲者帶來更多果報。(24.23)356

kṣetrāṇi tṛṇadoṣāṇi dveṣadoṣā tv iyaṃ prajā |

tasmād vigatadveṣebhyo dattaṃ bhavati mahāphalam ||

猶如穢惡田,瞋恚滋蔓生,是故當離恚,施報無有量。 (16.14)

例如田地因長滿野草而荒廢破壞,人也因充滿瞋恨而毀滅,因此布施給無瞋恨者帶來更大的果報。(24.24)357

kṣetrāṇi tṛṇadoṣāṇi mohadoṣā tv iyaṃ prajā |

tasmād vigatamohebhyo dattaṃ bhavati mahāphalam ||

猶如穢惡田,愚癡滋蔓生,是故當離愚,獲報無有量。 (16.15)

例如田地因長滿野草而荒廢破壞,人也因充滿愚癡而毀滅,因此布施給無愚癡者帶來更大的果報。(24.25)358

tasmād vigatamānebhyo dattaṃ bhavati mahāphalam ||

猶如穢惡田,憍慢滋蔓生,是故當離慢,獲報無有量。(16)

tasmād vigatatṛṣṇebhyo dattaṃ bhavati mahāphalam ||

猶如穢惡田,愛樂滋蔓生,是故當離愛,獲報無有量。 (16.18)

ṣaṣṭha adhipatī rājā rajyamāne rajasvalaḥ |

arakte virajā bhavati rakte bālo nirucyate ||

六識王為主,愛染為眷屬,無染則離愛,染著是愚癡。(19)

nagaraṃ hy asthiprākāraṃ māṃsaśoṇitalepanam |

yatra rāgaś ca dveṣaś ca māno mrakṣaś ca bādhyate ||

骨幹以為城,肉血而塗飾,門根盡開張,結賊得縱逸。 (16.20)

有一座用骨造成的城廓,塗以血和肉,裡面堆放著老、死、我慢與虛偽。(11.5)150

hetuprabhavaṃ sadā hi duḥkhaṃ tad apaśyan sa hi tena tatra baddhaḥ |

tasya tu samayāj jahāti saṅgaṃ na hi bāhyā prajahanti taṃ mahāugham ||

有緣則增苦,觀彼三因縛,滅之由賢眾,不從外愚除。(21)
