supaśyaṃ paravadyaṃ syād ātmavadyaṃ tu durdṛśam |

paraḥ parasya vadyāni tu utpunāti busaṃ yathā ||

善觀己瑕隙,使己不露外,彼彼自有隙,如彼飛輕塵。 (27.1)

容易見到別人的過錯,反而難以見到自己的過失,顯揚自己的過錯像迎風揚糠,掩飾自己的過失如同賭徒隱匿作弊的骰子。(18.18)252

paravadyānudarśino nityāvadhyānasaṃjñinaḥ |

vāmā dharmāḥ pravardhante sa hy ārād dharmadarśanāt ||

若己稱無瑕,罪福俱并至,但見他人隙,恒懷無明想。 (27.2)

尋找別人過錯的人總是容易忿怒,只會增長自己的煩惱(漏),他遠離斷漏。(18.19)253

ahrīkena sujīvaṃ syāt kākaśūreṇa dhvāṅkṣiṇā |

praskandinā pragalbhena saṃkliṣṭaṃ tv iha jīvate ||

知慚壽中上,焉以貪牽縛,力士無畏忌,斯等命短促。 (27.3)

無慚愧心的、烏鴉一般常冒犯人的、說妄語的、傲慢狂妄的、行為污穢的人,生活過得輕易。(18.10)244

hrīmatā tv iha durjīvaṃ nityaṃ śucigaveṣiṇā |

sulīnenāpragalbhena śuddhājīvena paśyatā ||

知漸不盡壽,恒求清淨行,威儀不缺漏,當觀真淨壽。(27.4)

具慚愧心的、恆求清淨的、不執著的、不魯莽的、淨命的(正命的)、行為清淨的、能見(真諦)的人,生活過得艱難。 (18.11)245

andhabhūto hy ayaṃ lokas tanuko ’tra vipaśyataḥ |

śakunto jālamukta iva hy alpaṃ svargeṣu modate ||

世間普盲冥,智眼尠尠耳,群鳥墮羅網,生天不足言。 (27.5)

世間(普遍都)是盲目的,只有少數能清楚見到(真相),只有少數能生天,像一隻鳥脫離羅網。(13.8)174

moṣasambandhano loko bhavyarūpa iva dṛśyate |

upadhī bandhanā bālās tamasā parivāritāḥ |

asatsad iva dṛśyate paśyato nāsti kiṃcanam ||

觀世衰耗法,但見眾色變,愚者自繫縛,為闇所纏繞,亦不見於行,觀而無所有。(6)

ahaṃkārasṛtā martyāḥ parakāropasaṃhitāḥ |

etad eke na jānanti paśyanti na hi śalyataḥ ||

眾生皆有我,為彼而生患,一一不相見,不覩邪見刺。(7)

etat tu śalyaṃ pratiyatya paśyato hy adhyavasitā yatra prajāḥ prasaktāḥ |

ahaṃ karomīti na tasya hiṃsyāt paraḥ karotīti na tasya hiṃsyāt ||

觀此刺因緣,眾生多染著,我造彼非有,彼造非我有。(8)

mānopeto hy ayaṃ loko mānasaktaḥ sadā sthitaḥ |

dṛṣṭibhiś caiva saṃrabdhaḥ saṃsāraṃ nātivartate ||

眾生為慢纏,染著於憍慢,為見所迷惑,不免生死際。(9)

yat prāptaṃ yac ca prāptavyaṃ rajaḥ kīrṇam idaṃ dvayam |

āturyam iti taṃ jñātvā jahyād vidvān samāhitaḥ ||

已得與當得,二俱受塵垢,習於病根本,及覺諸所學。(10)

śikṣāsārāś ca ye sattvā jīvino brahmajīvinaḥ |

upasthānarataye ca sa eko ’ntaḥ prakīrtitaḥ ||

觀諸持戒者,梵行清淨人,瞻視病瘦者,是謂至邊際。(11)

bhoktavyāḥ śucayaḥ kāmā na doṣas teṣu vidyate |

ya evaṃ darśino bālā dvitīyo ’ntaḥ prakīrtitaḥ ||

etāv antāv anajñāya tv atilīyanti bāliśaḥ |

apare tv atidhāvanti cakṣuṣmāṃs tāṃ prapaśyati ||

etāv antau viditvā tu nābhavaṃs tatra ye budhāḥ |

na caiva tena manyante vartmas teṣāṃ na vidyate ||

yathā budbudikāṃ paśyed yathā paśyen marīcikām |

evaṃ lokam avekṣaṃ vai mṛtyurājaṃ na paśyati ||

當觀水上泡,亦觀幻野馬,如是不觀世,亦不見死至。 (27.13)

應觀世間如水上泡、如陽焰,如此則死王見不到他。(13.4)170

yatra bālāḥ pramuhyante saṅgo nāsti prajānatām ||

如是當觀身,如王雜色車,愚者所染著,善求遠離彼。(27.15)

來看這個世界(身體),就像國王的彩色寶車一樣,愚人生染著,理解這(真相)的人對此不生繫著。(13.5)171

如是當觀身,眾病之所因,病與愚合會,焉能可恃怙? (27.17)

看看這心造的形像,一堆瘡痍的混合物,多病與諸多妄想,不能堅固常存。(11.2)147

爪髮為八分,雙部眼耳璫,愚者所染著,亦不求自度。(20)

著欲染於欲,不究結使緣,不以生結使,當度欲有流。(21)

ūrdhvaṃ cādhaḥ sarvato vītarāgo hy ayam aham asmīti ca nānupaśyan |

evaṃ vimukto hi tared iha ogham atīrṇapūrvaṃ hy apunar bhavāya ||

yo nirvanagair vimokṣitaḥ saṃvanamukto vanam eva dhāvati |

taṃ paśyatha pudgalaṃ tv imaṃ mukto bandhanam eva dhāvati ||

非園脫於園,脫園復就園,當復觀此人,脫縛復就縛。(27.22)

猶如出了森林(vana 欲望、叢林)又再進入森林,來,看這人!他脫離了銬鐐束縛之後,又再回到銬鐐束縛之中。(24.11)344

今捨天王位,不造生死本,求離地獄苦,願說圓寂樂。(23)

nelāṅgaḥ śvetasaṃchanna ekāro vartate rathaḥ |

anighaṃ paśyatāyāntaṃ chinnayoktram abandhanam ||

青衣白蓋覆,御者御一輪,觀彼末塵垢,永便斷縛著,(24)

bahavaḥ śaraṇaṃ yānti parvatāṃś ca vanāni ca |

ārāmāṃ vṛkṣacaityāṃś ca manuṣyā bhayatarjitāḥ ||

人多求自歸,山川樹木神,園觀及神祀,望免苦患難。(27.25)

被恐懼所驅使的人,尋找各種歸依處:山嶺、森林與樹林、園林中的支提。(14.10)188

naitadd hi śaraṇaṃ kṣemaṃ naitat śaraṇam uttamam |

naitat śaraṇaṃ āgamya sarvaduḥkhāt pramucyate ||

此非自歸上,亦非有吉利,如有自歸者,不脫一切苦。(27.26)

這不是安穩的歸依處,這不是最殊勝的歸依處,歸依這些地方,無法解脫眾苦。(14.11)189

yas tu buddhaṃ ca dharmaṃ ca saṃghaṃ ca śaraṇaṃ gataḥ |

catvāri cāryasatyāni prajñayā paśyate yadā ||

若有自歸佛,及法苾芻僧,修習聖四諦,如慧之所見。(27.27)

若有歸依佛、法、僧,能以正慧見四聖諦(14.12)190

duḥkhaṃ duḥkhasamutpādaṃ duḥkhasya samatikramam |

āryaṃ cāṣṭāṅgikaṃ mārgaṃ duḥkhopaśamagāminam ||

苦因緣苦生,當越此苦本,賢聖八品道,滅盡甘露際。(27.28)

苦、苦集與苦滅,以及導向苦滅的道,也就是八正道。(14.13)191

etadd hi śaraṇaṃ kṣemam etat śaraṇam uttamam |

etat śaraṇaṃ āgamya sarvaduḥkhāt pramucyate ||

是為自歸上,非不有吉利,如有自歸者,得脫一切苦。(27.29)

這是安穩的歸依處,這是最殊勝的歸依處,歸依這些地方,能解脫眾苦。(14.14)192

paśyataḥ paśyate paśyaṃ paśyate cāpy apaśyataḥ |

apaśyan paśyate naiva paśyato nāpy apaśyataḥ ||

觀已觀當觀,不觀亦當觀,觀而復重觀,觀而不復觀。(30)

anupaśyanayā ca paśyanā nānātvaṃ hi tayor ihocyate |

divasasya yathaiva rātribhiḥ saṃdhānaṃ ca tayor na vidyate ||

觀而復重觀,分別彼性本,計晝以為夜,寶身壞不久。(31)

anupaśyati cen na paśyati tv atha cet paśyati nānupaśyati |

paśyann ayaṃ nānupaśyati tv anupaśyaṃs tu sadā na paśyati ||

觀而不重觀,雖見亦不見,如見而不見,觀而亦不見。(32)

paśyan nu kiṃ nānupaśyate kim apaśyan nānupaśyate sadā |

kasmin sati hānupaśyanā kasmin na sati nānupaśyanā ||

云何見不見?何說見不見?因何見不見?因為出何見。(33)

duḥkhaṃ yad ayaṃ na paśyati tad apaśyann ātmeti paśyati |

duḥkhaṃ tu yathā tathā prapaśyann ayaṃ ātmeti sadānupaśyati ||

猶若不觀苦,常當深自觀,以解苦根源,是謂明妙觀。(34)

41

yenāvṛtaḥ pṛthagjanaḥ saṃskārān duḥkhaṃ na paśyati |

tasmin sati hānupaśyanā vigate ’smin vigatānupaśyanā ||

誰令凡夫人,不觀眾行本,因彼而觀察,去冥見大明。(35)
