心輕難調伏,為欲所居懷,降心則為善,以降便輕安。(31.1)

難以調御、善變、隨意游動的心,能調御此心極佳,調御此心帶來福樂。(3.3)35

vārijo vā sthale kṣipta okād oghāt samuddhṛtaḥ |

parispandati vai cittaṃ māradheyaṃ prahātavai ||

如魚在旱地,以離於深淵,心識極惶懼,魔眾而奔馳。(31.2)

如同魚從各個庇護處被拋到岸上一樣,以這樣顫慄的心去逃離魔羅的領域。(3.2)34

pṛthag vidhāvate cittaṃ sūryasyeva hi raśmayaḥ |

tat paṇḍito vārayati hy aṅkuśenaiva kuñjaram ||

心走非一處,猶如日光明,智者所能制,如鉤止惡象。(3)

此心過去慣於隨意隨處遊蕩,我今從根本調御控制你,就像馴象師調御發情期的大象。(23.7)326

anekaṃ jātisaṃsāraṃ saṃdhāvitvā punaḥ punaḥ |

gṛhakārakaiṣamāṇas tvaṃ duḥkhā jātiḥ punaḥ punaḥ ||

生死無有量,往來無端緒,求於屋舍者,數數受胞胎。 (31.6)

經歷了無數次生死,我尋找造屋者,卻未找到,生死輪迴極為痛苦。(11.8)153

gṛhakāra kadṛṣṭo ’si na punar gehaṃ kariṣyasi |

sarve te pārśukā bhagnā gṛhakūṭaṃ visaṃskṛtam |

visaṃskāragate citte ihaiva kṣayam adhyagāḥ ||

以觀此居屋,更不造諸舍,梁棧看已壞,臺閣則摧折。 (31.7)

造屋者,你被看到了!你將無法再造屋舍了,屋樑已斷裂,屋頂已壞損,我心已證無為,滅盡貪欲。(11.9)154

spandanaṃ capalaṃ cittaṃ durakṣyaṃ durnivāraṇam |

ṛjuṃ karoti medhāvī iṣukāra iva tejasā ||

智者能自正,如匠搦箭直,有恚則知恚,有恚知有恚。(31.9)

智者調直顫抖、不穩定、難護、難調御(難禁)的心,像製箭者調直他的箭一樣。(3.1)33

dūraṃ gamam ekacaram aśarīraṃ guhāśayam |

ye cittaṃ damayiṣyanti vimokṣyante mahābhayāt |

心已離諸行,中間是己心,心多為輕躁,難持難調護。(8)

心遠逝、獨行、無形體、住於(四大構成的)巢窟,能調御此心的人,就能從魔羅的繫縛解脫。(37)

na dveṣī dveṣiṇaḥ kuryād vairī vā vairiṇo hitam |

mithyā praṇihitaṃ cittaṃ yat kuryād ātmanātmanaḥ ||

仇敵對仇敵、冤家對冤家所作的事,向於邪惡的心對自己所造的禍害比這還嚴重。(3.10)42

na taṃ mātā pitā vāpi kuryāj jñātis tathāparaḥ |

samyak praṇihitaṃ cittaṃ yat kuryādd hitaṃ ātmanaḥ ||

是意皆自造,非干父母為,除邪就正定,為福勿洄澓。(31.10)

非父母或其他眷屬所能(替他)作(善業),導向正(行)的心比他們更能替他作(善業)。(3.11)43

yathā hy agāraṃ ducchannaṃ vṛṣṭiḥ samatibhindati |

evaṃ hy abhāvitaṃ cittaṃ rāgaḥ samatibhindati ||

蓋屋若不密,天雨則常漏,人不思惟行,恒歷婬怒癡。(31.11)

如同蓋得不善密的屋舍下雨時會被雨水浸漏,未修持的心會被欲貪浸漏。(1.13)

心為諸法本,心尊是心使,心若念惡行,即言即惡行,罪苦自追隨,車轢終于轍。(31.13)

諸法是心所前導的、心所主宰的、心所造的;如果有人以汙染心而言行,罪苦跟隨著他,就像車輪跟隨著拉車者的腳。(1.1)

manaḥ pūrvaṃgamā dharmā manaḥśreṣṭhā manojavāḥ |

manasā hi prasannena bhāṣate vā karoti vā |

tatas taṃ sukham anveti chāyā vā hy anugāminī ||

心為諸法本,心尊是心使,心若念善行,即言即善行,福慶自追隨,如影隨其形。(31.14)

諸法是心所前導的、心所主宰的、心所造的;如果有人以清淨心而言行,幸福快樂跟隨著他,就像永不離開的影子(跟隨著他)。(1.2)

nāprasannena cittena duṣṭena kṣubhitena vā |

dharmo hi śakyaṃ ājñātuṃ saṃrambhabahulena vā ||

不以不淨意,亦及瞋怒人,欲得知法者,正等覺所說。(15)

vinīya yas tu saṃrambham aprasādaṃ ca cetasā |

āghātaṃ caiva niḥsṛjya prajānīyāt subhāṣitam ||

諸有除貢高,心意極清淨,能捨傷害懷,乃得聞正法。(16)

na pratyanīkasāreṇa suvijñeyaṃ subhāṣitam |

upakliṣṭena cittena saṃrambhabahulena vā ||

anavasthitacittasya saddharmam avijānataḥ |

pāriplavaprasādasya prajñā na paripūryate ||

心不住止息,亦不知善法,迷於出世事,無有正知見。(31.17)

心無住息的人、不了解正法的人、信心不堅定的人,他們無法成就圓滿的智慧。(3.6)38

srotāṃsi yasya ṣaṭ triṃśan manaḥ prasravaṇāni hi |

vahānti nityaṃ durdṛṣṭeḥ saṃkalpair gredhanihśritaiḥ ||

三十六使流,并及心意漏,數數有邪見,依於欲想結。(31.18)

具有三十六流而習於可意事物的人,他被繫著於欲貪的思維帶向邪見。(24.6)339

ratim anusṛtam indriyānugaṃ puruṣaṃ cittavaśānuvartakam |

yaśa iha hi jahāti sarvadā drumam iva śīrṇaphalaṃ yathāṇḍajaḥ ||

捨意放其根,人隨意迴轉,為少滅名稱,如鳥捨空林。(19)

ātāpī vihara tvam apramatto mā te kāmaguṇo matheta cittam |

mā lohaguḍāṃ gileḥ pramattaḥ krandan vai narakeṣu pacyamānaḥ ||

在靜自修學,慎勿逐欲跡,莫吞熱鐵丸,嘷哭受其報。(20)

比丘!勤修禪定,慎勿放逸!不要沉溺於五欲,不要吞下燒燙的鐵丸,而痛哭「這真痛苦!」(25.12)371

utthānakāleṣu nihīnavīryo vācā balī tv ālasiko nirāśaḥ |

sadaiva saṃkalpahataḥ kusīdo jñānasya mārgaṃ satataṃ na vetti ||

應修而不修,恃力不精勤,自陷人形卑,懈怠不解慧。(31.21)

怠惰的人在該精勤努力時不勤奮,在年輕力壯時怠惰,意志消沉薄弱,他將無法找到智慧的正道。(20.8)280

sthūlān vitarkān atha vāpi sūkṣmān samudgatān mānasamplavārtham |

vitarkayan vai satataṃ vitarkān etāṃ sadā dhāvati bhrāntacittaḥ ||

亂觀及正觀,皆由意所生,能覺知心觀,愚心數數亂。(22)

etāṃs tu vidyān manaso vitarkān ātāpavān saṃvaravān smṛtātmā |

jahāty aśeṣān apunar bhavāya samāhito dhyānarataḥ sumedhāḥ ||

智者如是觀,念者專為行,咄嗟意無著,惟佛能滅此。(23)

kumbhopamaṃ kāyam imaṃ viditvā nagaropamaṃ cittam adhiṣṭhitaṃ ca |

yudhyeta māraṃ prajñāyuddhena jitaṃ ca rakṣed aniveśanaḥ syāt ||

觀身如空瓶,安心如丘城,以慧與魔戰,守勝勿復失。(31.24)

已知身如陶器,守心如城,以致會與魔羅作戰,你將能戰勝(魔羅)而毫無繫著。(3.8)40

phenopamaṃ kāyam imaṃ viditvā nagaropamaṃ cittam adhiṣṭhitaṃ ca |

yudhyeta māraṃ prajñāyuddhena jitaṃ ca rakṣed aniveśanaḥ syāt ||

觀身如聚沫,如陽焰野馬,以慧與魔戰,守勝勿復失。(25)

ādānaṃ pratiniḥsṛjya cānupādāyaṃ āśritāḥ |

kṣīṇāsravā vāntadoṣās te loke parinirvṛtāḥ ||

心念七覺意,等意不差違,當捨愚惑意,樂於不起忍,盡漏無有漏,於世取滅度。(31.26)

心已於(七)覺支正確地修習的人,樂於捨斷所有執著,毫無繫縛,他們已去除污穢而清淨,於此世究竟涅槃。(6.14)89

svacittam anurakṣaṃ vai svavālaṃ camarī yathā |

bhūteṣu ca dayāpannaḥ sukhān na parihīyate ||

當自護其意,若犛牛護尾,有施於一切,終不離其樂。(27)

etaṃ nāgasya nāgena tv īṣādantasya hastinaḥ |

sameti cittaṃ cittena yad eko ramate vane ||

一龍出眾龍,龍中六牙者,心心自平等,獨樂於曠野。(28)

avyāpannena cittena yo bhūtāny anukampate |

maitraḥ sa sarvasattveṣu vairaṃ tasya na kenacit ||

不以無害心,盡為一切人,慈心為眾生,彼無有怨恨。(29)

ekam api cet prāṇam aduṣṭacitto maitrāyate kuśalaṃ tena hi syāt |

sarvāṃs tu sattvān manasā-anukampayan prabhūtaṃ āryaḥ prakaroti puṇyam ||

慈心為一人,便獲諸善本,盡當為一切,賢聖稱福上。(30)

普慈於一切,愍念眾生類,修行於慈心,後受無極樂。(31)

yo hy udagreṇa cittena tv adīnena sadā naraḥ |

bhāvayet kuśalān dharmān yogakṣemasya prāptaye ||

若以踊躍意,歡喜不懈怠,修於諸善法,獲致安隱處。(32)

45

śāntam asya mano bhavati śāntā vāk kāyakarma ca |

samyagājñāvimuktasya hy upaśāntasya bhikṣuṇaḥ ||

自則致歡喜,身口意相應,以得等解脫,苾芻息意快,一切諸結盡,無復有塵勞。 (31.33)

他的身口意都已寂靜,依正智而寂滅解脫。(7.7)96

pañcāṅgikena tūryeṇa na ratir bhavati tādṛśī |

yādṛśy ekāgracittasya samyagdharmān vipaśyataḥ ||

正使五樂音,不能悅人意,不如一正心,向於平等法。(34)

sukhaṃ svapanti munayo na te śocanti māmikām |

yeṣāṃ dhyānarataṃ cittaṃ kāmas teṣāṃ na vidyate ||

最勝得善眠,亦不計有我,諸有心樂禪,不樂於欲意。(35)

sukhaṃ modanti munayo na te śocanti māmikām |

yeṣāṃ dhyānarataṃ cittaṃ vartmas teṣāṃ na vidyate ||

最勝踊躍意,亦不見有我,諸有心樂禪,不樂於欲意。(36)

yasya śailopamaṃ cittaṃ sthitaṃ nānuprakampate |

viraktaṃ rajanīyebhyaḥ kopanīye na kupyate |

yasyaivaṃ bhāvitaṃ cittaṃ kutas taṃ duḥkham eṣyati ||

諸結永已盡,如山不可動,於染無所染,於恚不起恚,諸有如此心,焉知苦蹤跡?(37)

nopavādī nopaghātī prātimokṣe ca saṃvaraḥ |

mātrajñatā ca bhakteṣu prāntaṃ ca śayanāsanam |

adhicitte samāyoga etad buddhasya śāsanam ||

無害無所染,具足於戒律,於食知止足,及諸床臥具,修意求方便,是謂諸佛教。(31.38)

不誹謗意不傷害他人,善持守戒律,飲食知足,獨居幽靜處,勤修禪定,此為諸佛的教導。(14.7)185

cittanimittasya kovidaḥ pravivekasya rasaṃ prajānakaḥ |

dhyāyī nipakaḥ pratismṛto vetti prītisukhaṃ nirāmiṣam ||

行人觀心相,分別念待意,以得入禪定,便獲喜安樂。(39)

manaś ca yo rakṣati bhāṣitaṃ ca ceṣṭe ca kāyasya sadaiva yuktaḥ |

sa prāpya śokaṃ hi na duḥkhitaḥ syāt satyasthitaḥ satyavidaḥ sumedhāḥ ||

護意自莊嚴,嫉彼而營己,遭憂不患苦,智者審諦住。(40)

arakṣitena cittena mithyādṛṣṭihatena ca |

stīnamiddhābhibhūtena vaśaṃ mṛtyor nigacchati ||

人不守護心,為邪見所害,兼懷掉戲意,斯等就死徑。(41)

tasmād rakṣitacittaḥ syāt samyaksaṃkalpagocaraḥ |

samyagdṛṣṭipuraskāro jñātvā caivodayavyayam |

stīnamiddhābhibhūr bhikṣuḥ sarvadurgatayo jahet ||

是故當護心,等修清淨行,正見恒在前,分別起滅法。(42)

cittena hi vañcitā prajā hy ekatyā narakeṣu pacyate ||

苾芻降睡眠,盡苦更不造,降心復於樂,護心勿復調。(43)
