krodhaṃ jahed viprajahec ca mānaṃ samyojanaṃ sarvam atikrameta |

taṃ nāmne rūpe ca asajyamānam akiṃcanaṃ nānupatanti saṃgāḥ ||

除瞋去我慢,遠離諸煩惱,不染彼名色,冤家無有伴。(20.1)

斷絕瞋怒,捨棄憍慢,斬斷所有結縛,不執著名色與一無所有的人,眾苦不會跟隨他。(17.1)221

krodhaṃ jahed utpatitaṃ rāgaṃ jātaṃ nivārayet |

avidyāṃ prajahed dhīraḥ satyābhisamayāt sukham ||

krodhaṃ hatvā sukhaṃ śete krodhaṃ hatvā na śocati |

krodhasya viṣamūlasya madhuraghnasya bhikṣavaḥ |

vadhaṃ āryāḥ praśaṃsanti taṃ ca hatvā na śocati ||

斷恚得善眠,恚盡不懷憂,恚為毒根本,甘甜為比丘,賢聖能悉除,斷彼善眠睡。(2)

yat tu rocayati kruddho duṣkṛtaṃ sukṛtaṃ tv iti |

paścāt sa vigate krodhe spṛṣṭvāgnim iva tapyate ||

人興恚怒心,作諸不善業。後恚若得除,智火漸熾盛。(3)

ahrīkaś cānavatrāpī cāvrataś caiva roṣaṇaḥ |

krodhena hy abhibhūtasya dvīpaṃ nāstīha kiṃcana ||

無慚復無愧,復好生瞋怒,為瞋所纏縛,如闇失明燈。(4)

abalaṃ hi balaṃ tasya yasya krodhe balaṃ balam |

kruddhasya dharmahīnasya pratipattir na vidyate ||

彼力非為力,以恚為力者,恚為凡朽法,不知善響應。(5)

yas tv ayaṃ balavān bhūtvā durbalasya titīkṣati |

tāṃ āhuḥ paramāṃ kṣāntiṃ nityaṃ kṣamati durbalaḥ ||

有力近猛軍,無力退怯弱,能忍為上將,宜當忍勿羸。(6)

yaḥ pareṣāṃ prabhūḥ saṃs tu durbalān saṃtitīkṣati |

tāṃ āhuḥ paramāṃ kṣāntiṃ nityaṃ kṣamati durbalaḥ ||

舉眾共輕之,有力名為忍,能忍最為上,宜當懷忍羸。(7)

atyukto hi parair yo vai balavān saṃtitīkṣati |

tāṃ āhuḥ paramāṃ kṣāntiṃ nityaṃ kṣamati durbalaḥ ||

ātmānaṃ ca paraṃ caiva mahato rakṣate bhayāt |

yaḥ paraṃ kupitaṃ jñātvā svayaṃ tatropaśāmyati ||

自我與彼人,大畏不可救,如知彼瞋恚,宜滅己中瑕。(8)

ubhayoś carate so ’rthaṃ ātmanasya parasya ca |

yaḥ paraṃ kupitaṃ jñātvā svayaṃ tatropaśāmyati ||

二俱行其義,我與彼亦然,如知彼瞋恚,宜忍彼中瑕。(9)

ubhārthe caramāṇaṃ taṃ hy ātmanasya parasya ca |

abalaṃ manyate bālo dharmeṣv avavicakṣaṇaḥ ||

俱行於二義,我忍彼亦然,愚謂我無力,觀法亦復爾。(10)

jayaṃ hi manyate bālo vacobhiḥ paruṣair vadan |

nityam iva jayas tasya yo ’tivākyaṃ titīkṣati ||

若愚勝於智,麁言及惡語,欲常得勝者,於言宜寂默。(11)

śreṣṭhasya vākyaṃ kṣamate bhayena saṃrambhahetoḥ sadṛśasya caiva |

yo vai nihīnasya vacaḥ kṣameta tām uttamāṃ kṣāntim ihāhur āryāḥ ||

常習智者教,不與愚人集,能忍穢陋言,故說忍中上。(12)

kruddho vācaṃ na bhāṣeta pariṣatsv atha vā mithaḥ |

krodhābhibhūtaḥ puruṣaḥ svam arthaṃ hi na budhyate ||

恚者不發言,處眾若屏處,人恚以熾然,終己不自覺。(13)

satyaṃ vaden na ca krudhyed dadyād alpād api svayam |

sthānair ebhis tribhir yukto devānām antikaṃ vrajet ||

諦說不瞋恚,乞者念以施,三分有定處,自然處天宮。(20.14)

言語誠實,不瞋怒,有乞求布施者能施予,即使僅是少許,以此三事能死後生天。(17.4)224

śāntasya hi kutaḥ krodho dāntasya samajīvinaḥ |

samyagājñāvimuktasya krodho nāsti prajānataḥ ||

息意何有恚?自撿壽中明,等智定解脫,知已無有恚。(15)

tasyaiva pāpaṃ bhavati yaḥ kruddhe krudhyate punaḥ |

kruddheṣv akruddhamānas tu saṃgrāmaṃ durjayaṃ jayet ||

若為惡意者,怒有怒果報,怒不報其怒,勝其彼鬪負。(16)

akrodhena jayet krodham asādhuṃ sādhunā jayet |

jayet kadaryaṃ dānena satyena tv anṛtaṃ jayet ||

忍辱勝於怨,善勝不善者,勝者能施善,真誠勝欺善。(20.17)

以不怒勝瞋怒,以善勝不善,以布施勝慳貪,以誠實勝欺罔。(17.3)223

akruddhasya kutaḥ krodho dāntasya samajīvinaḥ |

samyagājñāvimuktasya krodhas tasya na vidyate ||

akrodhaś cāvihiṃsā ca vasaty āryeṣu sarvadā |

sadā pāpajane krodhas tiṣṭhati parvato yathā ||

無恚亦不害,恒念真實行,愚者自生恚,結冤常存在。(18)

yas tv ihotpatitaṃ krodhaṃ rathaṃ bhrāntam iva dhārayet |

vadāmi sārathiṃ taṃ tu raśmigrāho ’yam anyathā ||

恚能自制斷,如止奔走車,是為善調御,去冥入光明。(20.19)

能夠自制升起的憤怒,如止住奔馳的車,我稱此人為真正的御者,其餘只是執著韁繩而已。(17.2)222
